If I miss the early registration cut off for the tailgate, can I register for the tailgate at the door?

Yes! Though alumni are encouraged to sign up in advance, registration will be available at the entrance to the tailgate. The cost for walk-in admission is $15.

What is the policy for cancellations and refund requests?

Georgetown reserves event space, catering, and transportation services in advance to ensure that events run smoothly.
* Refunds for events and activities will be granted for written cancellations received on or before Friday, Sept. 14th.
* We regret that we will be unable to refund fees after this date.
* Cancellation requests should be sent by e-mail to advancementevents@georgetown.edu or by regular mail to: Homecoming Weekend 2007, Georgetown University, University Box 571253, Washington, DC 20057-1253.

Where do I pick up my tickets for Homecoming Weekend events?

There are no tickets issued for any Homecoming Weekend events. Once you have registered and received your confirmation e-mail, your name will automatically appear on the "pre-registered" list at the door of all events. Registering in advance saves you time and money!

What is included in my tailgate admission cost?

The cost of the Homecoming tailgate admission includes unlimited Rockland's barbecue, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, and entertainment. Due to limited space, cars will not be allowed in McDonough parking lot and no outside beverages will be permitted.

Is the Homecoming tailgate held rain or shine?

All Homecoming Weekend events will be held rain or shine unless otherwise noted. A large tent will be provided for the Homecoming tailgate in the McDonough Gym parking lot.

How do I get football game tickets?

Can I bring a non-alumni guest?

Everyone is welcome to celebrate Homecoming on the Hilltop, including non-alumni and friends of the university! All guests attending the Homecoming tailgate party are required to show one form of identification with a birth date in order to guarantee entrance. If you register online, you can add guests and pay for their advance tickets. The walk-in price is the same for alumni, current students, and guests ($15).

Do you need to be 21 in order to attend the tailgate? Is the cost the same for minors?

All age groups are welcome to attend the tailgate. But in order to be served beer, guests must be at least 21-years-old and show a valid photo identification with birth date. The cost is the same for all Homecoming guests, in order to accurately cover the costs of food, beverages, entertainment, equipment, staffing, service, and space rentals.

How can I find out more details about Traditions Day and other student sponsored events?

Student sponsored events will be organized in early September, once students have returned to campus for the fall semester. When information becomes available, you'll find it on the Georgetown University Traditions Day Web site. All authorized student events that are included on this Web site are individually managed by the student group, and all questions should be directed to the individual contacts listed.
